Think Children Cake Sale Brings In the Dough

Despite the appalling weather our Think Children Cake Sale on May 28th raised over £200. Perhaps Newark shoppers took pity on our four wet and windswept young volunteers who were successfully selling everything from blueberry muffins to Harry Potter cupcakes. Sales were also boosted by the political frenzy occuring in Newark at the moment with a number of politicians and their entourages busy campaigning in the market square, as well as the local newspaper and BBC TV all stopping by for an interview and a cake or two! All monies raised at events such as these help to raise the profile of our much needed and effective service for local children who are struggling with emotional, behavioural and social issues.
